The Story of Contemporary Liuli Starts Here

Chang Yi’s “A Touch of Red” is a tremendous leap forward in the evolution of contemporary liuli.  Its presentation is reminiscent of a looking glass, simultaneously invoking an otherworldly vision as well as an introspective reflection.  While highly contemporary, it encapsulates themes steeped in culture, from traditional Chinese shanshui painting to calligraphic aesthetics.

On June 3rd, “A Touch of Red” series opened to an awestruck audience in France at Galerie Capazza. Artworks are on view at Galerie Capazza through 9/17, and soon to be in the U.S.!.
