The Collection: Chinese Zodiac Animals in Bright Florals | Year of the Rooster

Design Concept:

This crystal glass figurine, titled “The First Call,” is the whimsical artwork of the rooster (or chicken) zodiac in Chinese mythology.  Despite its seemingly simple character, the rooster is most admired for its punctuality and independent minded temperament.  Tracing its roots to the traditional agrarian lifestyle, the rooster represents a simple yet sturdy and respectable way of life that is at once dependable and capable.  Adorably comedic and almost cartoonish, the zodiac art piece is adorned with traditional Chinese paper-cutting artwork patterns.  Each art piece is uniquely handcrafted, varying most with color and playing with light on any tabletop.  Well suited for birthday occasions or simply celebrating someone’s birth year, the message the zodiac artwork sends is as sincere and as transparent as the glasswork itself
