Design Concept

This design is inspired by the Jade Bi (璧), which is an ancient Chinese jade artifact characterized by a flat, circular shape with a central hole. It has been a significant cultural symbol in Chinese history, often associated with rituals, power, and the cosmos.

In the center of the jade bi is connected a dragon throne. There are nine dragons carved on it, symbolizing the highest supremacy of nine-five (an ancient Chinese term for the emperor), representing ultimate perfection. The interior of the jade bi is adorned with a large area of gold foil, adding a sense of nobility to the piece. The dragon throne uses a fixed-color technique, making the colors more precise and the craftsmanship more challenging. The circle symbolizes smoothness and harmony, an inclusive mindset that embraces all. The contrast between the large circle and the small dragon throne is striking. The dragon throne becomes a symbol of spiritual power — a benevolent person who widely bestows virtue and benefits the world.

在玉璧造型基礎上中融入龍椅的設計概念，玉璧正中的位置接駁一座龍椅。上共雕有九條龍，取九五至尊之意，是極致的完美,玉璧內部飾有大面積的金箔，使作品更添尊貴感。龍椅采用定色技法，顏色呈現更為精準，工藝挑戰更大。圓代表圓融無礙、和諧圓滿，是一種包容萬物的心態，巨大的圓與小小的龍椅形成強烈對比。龍椅成為一種精神力量的象征——仁者，廣施德澤，兼濟天下。
