Design Concept:

A Resplendent Union gathers the beauty of harmony into a single luminous form. Twin gourds appear at its heart, joined in quiet radiance, surrounded by many smaller hulu gourds that unfold across the artwork like blessings without end. It speaks of a world shaped by kindness, where companionship, shared joy, and mutual fulfillment become the most beautiful necessities of human life.

Through the translucency of LIULI, the design reveals itself in layers, like a scene opening through light. Gold leaf plated upon the twin gourds with a sense of brilliance, while other gourds of many sizes move throughout the piece in gentle abundance. On one side, the composition is restrained and clear. On the other, vines extend and fruit gathers in fullness, suggesting prosperity that continues to grow. Seen from front and back, the artwork offers two different visions, each revealing the depth, radiance, and living clarity of crystal.

As a gift, A Resplendent Union celebrates the joy of sharing life’s blessings together. It is especially meaningful between friends, between businesses sharing in mutual success, and as a wedding gift for newlyweds. In ancient wedding tradition, a single gourd was split into two halves, filled with wine, and shared by the bride and groom. Through this symbolism, the work conveys harmony, shared fulfillment, and an enduring bond.
